Make a senior smile this Christmas and help the Halton Police with their 4th annual Stockings for Seniors event.
Last year, the Halton Police were able to fill 500 stockings and gift bags for residents at Allendale Long Term Care Facility in Milton and the Bennett Health Care Center in Georgetown.
Gift ideas include: shampoo, unscented body wash, unscented body lotion, deodorant, non slip socks or slippers, nightgowns, pajamas, diabetic candies, nail polish or chocolates.
The Halton Police say gifts such as word books, pencil crayons,small puzzles and small games are also welcome.
Detective Constable Sarah McCullagh has been leading this initiative since it began in 2016.
She hopes that they can receive enough donations to allow them to expand to other senior programs and drop in centers.
