The Region of Halton’s Health Department is stressing the importance of getting vaccines.
Flu season has arrived.
The Ontario Medical Association says vaccination is one of the most successful public health interventions in history.
Associate Medical Officer of Health with the Halton Region, Dr. Joanna Oda, wants people to do thorough research when it comes to vaccines.
Dr. Oda adds that people should go directly to trusted websites rather than using search engines.

Dr. Joanna Oda says that having questions is normal, but you should still get vaccinated.
The influenza vaccine can be received at family doctors offices, local pharmacies, and walk-in clinics.
