Seniors 65 and older and those with disabilities can take part in the Town of Milton’s Windrow Removal Program this winter season.
Windrows is snow left at the end of driveways after snow plows pass.
The program runs from December 1st until March 31st 2020 for a cost of 63 dollars.
The service is offered to eligible residents when the total amount of snow on the road exceeds 10 cms and 24 hours after the town has finished plowing all other roads.
Seniors aged 65 and older, or residents with disabilities can register on Friday October 25th from 9 am until 3 pm.
This can be done at the Milton Seniors Activity Centre, located at 500 Childs Drive.
A maximum of 75 spots are available at a first come, first serve basis.
Residents must bring their ID with them, as well as their address and age and must be willing to sign a declaration.
The declaration tells the Town that there are no able-bodied people under the age of 65 living at your residence.
Those with disabilities will have to provide a doctor’s note.
