The Milton Menace kick off their inaugural season on Friday, September 6th.
To celebrate, the Menace have nominated Halton-native and right-handed defenceman, Freddie Ilias, as the September Athlete of the Month!
Ilias has taken a unique development route.
Despite being born in Oakville, Ilias has grown up in the Connecticut-system.
Last season, he had 37 points in 43 games with the Connecticut Chiefs.
Ilias talks about why loves hockey.
Ilias adds that his favourite moment playing hockey goes back to his first year in high school.
He says he was able to play with some great players who now have moved on to college hockey and beyond.
Ilias gives some advice to the younger Miltonians who want to play hockey.
Ilias has returned to Halton to play for the Milton Menace.
He says he’s excited to be the underdogs.
