Today is the first day back to school.
In theory, students across Milton will be getting out of bed eager-eyed and bushy-tailed to learn as much as possible.
Director of Education for the Halton District School Board, Stuart Miller, goes over some things parents should know as the school year begins.
Stuart Miller issued a letter on the HDSB website encouraging students to walk to school.
Among his reasons were it being a good source of exercise, better for the environment, and it clears up space in the parking lot.
He gives some advice to students who may have anxiety about the first day of school.
The next major school break is on Friday, December 20th, when the students are off for the holiday season.
