Steam Era is celebrating it’s 59th year in Halton.
The Ontario Steam and Antique Preservers Association will be holding a fundraising concert this weekend to help give back.
Residents will be able to enjoy live music from rocker Sarah Smith and country singer Tianna Woods.
Some of the proceeds will be going to the Townsend Smith Foundation.
Director Carol Kinzie talks about the thought process behind the fundraiser.
Kinzie adds that Milton needs a service like a hospice.
She says they are more than happy to support the cause by holding this event.
Director Carol Kinzie says they chose to donate to Townsend Smith because they want to give back to the generation that has helped establish Steam Era in the community.
The fundraiser concert is a part of a Labour Day weekend long Steam Era festival.
It is taking place at Hume’s Farm on Fourth Line in Milton tomorrow night (Friday, August 30th).
The gates open at 6:00p.m.
You can purchase tickets at the gate.
