At the most recent Town Council meeting, Councillors approved amendments to allow the development of three new apartment buildings.
The three new buildings will include mixed-use buildings and will be located on Bronte Street South.
Regional Councillor for Ward 1, Colin Best, has publicly disapproved of recently announced apartment and condo buildings in Milton.
However, he’s a fan of these buildings.
Councillor Best adds that because Milton has grown so fast in the last few years, we forget there’s a proper way of growing.
He says with these new apartment buildings being mixed-use, they will provide more than just residential space for the town.
Best wants to see more jobs created in the Town.
He says the goal is to have people live in the area that they work in.
There will be two six-storey mixed-use apartment buildings, and one six-storey residential building.
They will be located on the northwestern corner of Bronte Street South and Louis St. Laurent Boulevard.
