The Halton Region Health Department has shown an increase in ticks being found by residents.
The Region’s submit-a-tick program has been in service since 2007.
In 2007, the number of ticks submitted was 22.
In 2018, that number reached 324.
The increased amount of ticks found means the possibility of Lyme disease also increases.
