Time for a little Haveagoodday story! If you’re a dog person, this story is going to tug at your heartstrings.
Luna, a 10-year-old Jack Russell terrier, has finally been reunited with her family after spending more than a MONTH lost in Yellowstone National Park! Luna disappeared in September after escaping from a cabin while her family was visiting the park. For weeks, she was spotted wandering the area, surviving on her own in the wilderness surrounded by bears, wolves, coyotes, and dropping temperatures.
Thankfully, a dedicated volunteer and a determined search effort never gave up. Luna was eventually found in a live trap baited with scraps from her family’s T-shirt and pillowcase. She’d lost a significant amount of weight, but she was alive, alert, and finally on her way home. Just imagine the moment her family got to hold her again after weeks of wondering if they’d ever see her again.
Luna’s incredible story is a reminder of just how powerful the bond between people and their pets can be. After more than a month apart, she’s finally back where she belongs! Home with her family.
