An Oakville man is facing multiple charges after police say he was caught driving nearly three times the speed limit in Guelph.
Just before 11:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5th, a member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit was patrolling near Gordon Street and Dean Avenue when they clocked a BMW travelling 112 km/h in a posted 40 km/h zone.
The 18-year-old is charged with:
- speeding
- stunt driving
- careless driving
His licence was suspended for 30 days, while the BMW, which police say was not his vehicle, was impounded for 14 days.
A conviction for stunt driving carries a minimum one-year licence suspension, a minimum fine of $2,000 and six demerit points.
