100 Women Who Care Milton is getting ready for their fourth and final gathering of 2026.
The group gets together to listen to presentations from three local charities. They then vote and awards one charity with a donation from each member. Traditionally, the donation is $100 per member, but has been done on a ‘donate-what-you-can’ method since the pandemic.
In July, they chose Halton Women’s Place as the awarded charity. $12,200 was given to the organization, which serves as “the only women’s shelter in the Halton region providing emergency safe shelter and community outreach services to women and children experiencing domestic violence and abuse.” Past recipients have attended the following event to share how the funds helped their organization.
On Wednesday, October 14th, 100 Women Who Care Milton will head to Country Heritage Park’s Gambrel Barn, located at 8560 Tremaine Road in Milton. Attendees are invited to show up at 5:30 p.m., with food provided by The Bombay Grill. There will also be a cash bar and some time to socialize. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and run for roughly one hour.
