Downtown Milton
The Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area will host its annual general meeting and a public meeting with municipal election candidates next week.
This event is open to BIA members, property owners and local residents. Attendance is free, but space is limited. Registration is required by Thursday, September 17th.
It takes place on September 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Southside Community Church, located at 200 Main Street East in Milton.
The evening begins with registration and networking at 6:00 p.m., with light refreshments available. The BIA’s annual general meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., giving members an opportunity to hear highlights from 2026 and learn what is planned for 2027.
A public meeting with municipal candidates follows at 7:00 p.m. Candidates for Mayor of Milton, Regional Councillor for Ward 1 and Town Councillor for Ward 1 will be invited to participate and share their perspectives on issues concerning Downtown Milton.
Rather than a traditional moderated question-and-answer session or debate, each candidate will have a brief opportunity to introduce themselves and speak directly to attendees. There will also be time before and after the meeting for attendees to network and speak with candidates one-on-one.
Election day is October 26th.
