The Milton Menace are undefeated to start the 2026-2027 OJHL Regular Season, and surely that will continue for the whole season, right?
It’s hard to find a better start than what happened on Tuesday, September 8th. Home opener against their North Halton rival, and the game wasn’t even close.
Gavin Sheehan started the scoring less than five minutes into the game, finding the back of the net on the man advantage. His 1st of the year was assisted by Don William Bristol and Quinlan Clair. Another Menace veteran added to the scoring in the first period, with Nathan Catalano burying his 1st of the season. His goal was assisted by Bristol and Brayden Turley. It was 2-0 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, the Menace would get goals from Alex Spadafora, Dean Deligeorgis, and Bristol. That made it 5-0 heading into the final frame.
The third period was a messy one, as the physicality spiked on both sides. Georgetown would get one on the board, but that would be quickly answered by Milton’s Chris Soares and Paul Mazanik. The game would end with 68 total penalty minutes split between the two teams, and the Menace winning 7-1.
It was quite the OJHL debut for 18-year-old Don William Bristol, who managed to tally four points. His production was matched by winger Nathan Catalano, who is poised for a breakout year in his third season with the Menace.
Austin McKillop is back for one more season in net for Milton. The veteran netminder had a relatively light load, stopping 21 of 22 shots. That was good enough for a .954% save percentage and the win.
Next up for the Menace is another home game. This time it’ll be against the Pickering Panthers on Friday, September 11th at the Milton Memorial Arena. Game time is listed for 7:30 p.m. Follow along here.
The Menace will then hit the road this weekend, taking on the Aurora Tigers on Saturday, September 12th. Find game details here.
