Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a targeted assault in North Dumfries Township that left a victim with minor physical injuries.
Police received a report of an assault involving two suspects at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, August 30th.
Through the investigation, officers determined the victim was assaulted by a man and woman who were armed with an edged weapon. Investigators say the suspects and victim were known to one another and that the incident was targeted.
The victim sustained minor physical injuries as a result of the assault.
A 23-year-old Burlington man and a 42-year-old Burlington woman were arrested and charged with multiple criminal offences.
The accused are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
