The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested an 18-year-old Kitchener man in connection with a home invasion in Burlington.
Four suspects reportedly broke into a home in southwest Aldershot at around 2:40 a.m. back on April 26th. The suspects smashed a first-floor window to enter while the residents were sleeping.
According to police, the suspects were armed with a firearm and a knife and confronted the residents in their bedrooms, demanding valuables. Several pieces of jewelry were handed over before the suspects fled in a stolen vehicle.
Following an investigation that included extensive collaboration with York Regional Police, investigators identified 18-year-old Manav Kotak of Kitchener. Kotak was arrested June 25th and charged with:
- Armed Robbery
- Pointing a Firearm
- Disguise with Intent
The investigation remains ongoing, as investigators work to identify and arrest the outstanding suspects.
