The Town of Milton is beginning a traffic calming project this month that will see speed cushions and cushioned raised crosswalks installed at multiple locations throughout the community.
This work will take place at dozens of locations across town. The full list provided by the Town includes:
- Woodward Avenue, from Ontario Street to Thompson Road
- Etheridge Avenue, from Chretien Street to Farmstead Drive
- Bennet Boulevard, from Hepburn Road to Lees Gate
- Farmstead Drive and Duignan Crescent
- Leger Way and Hinton Crescent
- Whitlock Avenue, from Hazel Way to Mulroney Heights
- Dixon Drive and Hatton Crossing
- Tupper Drive and Bussel Crescent
- Sauve Street, from Derry Road to Sim Place
- Armstrong Boulevard, from Derry Road to Bennett Boulevard
- Savoline Boulevard and Nunn Court
- Scott Boulevard and Athlone Drive
- Scott Boulevard and Baylis Court
- Woodward Avenue and Robarts Drive
- Dixon Drive and Sprucedale Lane
- Dixon Drive and Cobban Road
- Tupper Drive and Bussel Crescent
- Coxe Boulevard and Pearen Avenue
- Yates Drive and Lott Crescent
- Yates Drive and Symons Crossing
- 730 Bolingbroke Drive
- Bennet Boulevard and Wickson Way
- 745 Farmstead Drive
- 829 Farmstead Drive
- Louis St. Laurant Avenue and Kennedy Circle
- Bronte Street South and Etheridge Avenue
While no full road closures are planned, motorists should expect localized lane closures throughout the project. The Town says one lane of traffic will remain open at all times, and drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time.
Construction is scheduled to continue through August. Schedules may change due to weather or site conditions. Updates will be posted here.
