Milton will be represented on the WNBA’s Toronto Tempo.
The franchise announced on Thursday, July 9th that hometown star Kayla Alexander is signing a seven-day hardship contract.
Standing at 6’4″, the 8th overall pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft will join the team for the next week to fill in as a center. She has spent the last two seasons overseas playing for the Valencia Basket Club in the Euro League. This includes a Finals MVP during the 2024-2025 Liga Femenina Endesa championship.
Alexander last played in the WNBA during the 2020 season. She averaged 2.3 points-per-game across 16 games for the Minnesota Lynx.
We spoke with Alexander in 2020 when she was named a myFM Women of Influence. She was also put on Milton’s Walk of Fame in 2019 and has written a children’s book called ‘The Magic of Basketball‘.
