Pride Halton returns to Milton this month with organizers promising the largest edition yet of the region’s annual celebration of inclusion, community, and diversity.
The 4th annual Pride Halton Parade and Pride in the Park will feature a free, family-friendly celebration welcoming members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, allies, families, businesses, and community organizations from across Halton and beyond.
The Pride Parade begins at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19th, starting at Main Street and Brown Street in Milton before continuing into Pride in the Park at the Milton Fairgrounds, where attendees can enjoy expanded programming, community organizations, local vendors, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with support services and community groups.
Organizers say the event has grown significantly since its launch four years ago, with thousands attending the 2025 celebration. Check out photos from last year’s event here. This year’s event will feature more community partners, additional programming, and new ways for residents to participate while maintaining the welcoming, grassroots atmosphere that has become a hallmark of Pride Halton.
“Each year our community shows up with more heart, more energy and more pride,” says Melanie Tremills, Executive Director of Pride Halton. “As we prepare for our fourth celebration in 2026, we are excited to grow the parade, expand Pride in the Park, and create even more opportunities for people to feel seen, valued and connected. The momentum continues, and we invite everyone to be part of making this our biggest year yet.”
Residents can participate by marching in the parade, volunteering, becoming a vendor, or supporting the event through sponsorship opportunities.
There will also be a Pre-Pride Drag Show event at Ned Devine’s Irish Pub, on Saturday, July 18th, between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Find Ned Devine’s at 575 Ontario Street South in Milton.
