A serious single-vehicle collision in Burlington over the weekend sent one person to a trauma centre.
Officers were called at around 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 5th to the area of North Service Road, east of Brant Street, after receiving reports of a collision involving a white minivan.
One of the occupants of the vehicle was transported to an out-of-region trauma hospital with serious injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision and the injuries involved, the Halton Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has assumed responsibility for the investigation.
Investigators have not released the cause of the collision and say it remains under investigation.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken with investigators to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at CRU@haltonpolice.ca or 905-825-4747 ext. 5065.
Drivers who were in the area at the time are also being asked to review their dash camera footage and contact police if they captured any video that may assist with the investigation.
