A suspect has been arrested following a shooting at Dominion Gardens Park in Georgetown this week that prompted a police investigation.
Officers were called to the park at around 5:15 p.m. on Monday, June 29th after receiving reports of gunshots.
Investigators determined a shooting had occurred in the park’s parking lot, where multiple shots were fired at a parked vehicle. Police said members of the public were in the area at the time, but no one was struck and no physical injuries were reported.
On Tuesday, June 30th, officers arrested one male suspect in connection with the incident. Police believe the shooting was targeted and say there is no ongoing risk to public safety. Investigators are not seeking any additional suspects.
Details about the accused and the charges have not yet been released, as charges remain pending.
