Halton Student Transportation Services is inviting families with young students to take part in its annual First-Time Rider Program this summer.
The program is designed for primary students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 3 to help introduce them to school buses and school bus safety before the start of the new school year.
Families attending the one-hour session can expect a school bus ride, safety handouts and a viewing of “Buzzy the Bee’s Safety Video” in a relaxed and informal environment aimed at helping children feel more comfortable riding the bus.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend alongside their child.
The event is taking place Saturday, August 22nd. Registration must be completed beforehand to secure a spot.
