A 54-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a head-on collision in rural Milton on Saturday afternoon.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says officers were called to the area of Twiss Road just north of Derry Road at about 3:41 p.m. on Sunday, May 17th, for a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a Honda sedan.
The Honda, driven by a 17-year-old boy, was travelling southbound while the motorcycle, operated by a 54-year-old man, was heading northbound. Investigators say the two vehicles collided head-on while navigating a sharp curve in the roadway.
The motorcyclist was transported to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, members of the Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation and document evidence. Police say traffic disruption in the area was limited because of the remote location of the crash.
Witnesses or persons with dashboard camera footage from the area are asked to contact investigators with the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747 ext: 5065 orĀ CRU@HaltonPolice.ca.
