
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has laid fraud-related charges against a Mississauga man following an investigation into the alleged theft of more than $235,000 from an Oakville dental office.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has laid fraud-related charges against a Mississauga man following an investigation into the alleged theft of more than $235,000 from an Oakville dental office.
The investigation began in April 2025 after allegations surfaced that a former employee had been redirecting business funds into bank accounts under his control while working at the clinic.
According to investigators, the alleged fraud took place between May 2023 and January 2025. The HRPS Financial Crimes Unit says more than $235,000 was diverted during that time.
As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old Ngoc Tuan Nguyen of Mississauga was arrested and charged on Friday, May 1st, 2026 with:
Nguyen was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in Milton at a later date.
Investigators believe the accused may have been employed at additional dental offices and are concerned there may be more victims.
