A Burlington man is celebrating a major lottery win after hitting a jackpot worth more than $91,000.
Douglas W. won $86,508.70 through the POKER LOTTO ALL IN jackpot, along with an additional $5,000 on the instant portion of his ticket, bringing his total winnings to $91,508.70.
The 67-year-old truck driver says he discovered the win at a gas station, initially keeping the news to himself before sharing it with his wife later at home.
“The clerk told me I was a big winner, and I was pretty calm and collected,” he says, adding his wife was surprised when she first heard the news.
Douglas plans to use the money for home and cottage renovations, as well as purchasing a new boat.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Shell location on Highway 25 in Milton.
