The Milton Public Library (MPL) is inviting young writers to explore their creativity at an upcoming urban fantasy workshop this weekend.
The “Magic in the Modern World: Urban Fantasy Writing Workshop” will take place on Saturday, April 11th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Main Library’s Teal Room. Designed for participants aged 11 to 17, the in-person session will guide attendees through the process of creating short stories, developing believable characters, and building unique settings and plots. The workshop also highlights the benefits of writing as a tool for creativity, self-expression, and communication.
The event is being held ahead of Canadian Children’s Book Week, which runs from April 26th to May 2nd, and encourages youth to bring their imagination to life through storytelling.
