Would you like to be a good neighbour? Now’s your chance!
The annual Milton Good Neighbours Day is set to return next month, with residents from around town gathering for the biggest clean-up day in the community.
Organizer Alex Wellstead says he’s proud to see the event last for three decades, and continue to grow even after all these years.
He adds that he’s happy to see the smiling faces show up on the day of the event, whether they be new Miltonians or old.
Milton Good Neighbours Day is set for Saturday, May 2nd. It’ll start at 8:00 a.m. with a free light breakfast at Milton’s Town Hall, located at 150 Mary Street in Milton. Volunteers will then be given a garbage bag and gloves, with the clean-up beginning soon after!
Residents can sign-up for the event here. All you have to do is show up and clean up what you can around town, with Wellstead noting that a lot of garbage has been unearthed after months of windy winter days.
The event is run through sponsorships from local businesses and organizations. If you would like to support the day by making a similar financial or in-kind donation, click here.
