A student art showcase and fundraiser supporting mental health initiatives is set to take place in Burlington this week.
The “Paint the Town” project, launched in 2009, gives local high school students the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents while earning volunteer hours. Since 2018, the initiative has partnered with Halton Regional Police Service and the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation to raise funds for mental health and addictions programs, contributing nearly $17,000 to date.
This year’s event will feature artwork based on the theme “Enchanted,” with student pieces being auctioned off to support Joseph Brant Hospital’s For All Minds Campaign, which focuses on the redevelopment and expansion of the hospital’s Mental Health and Addictions Unit.
The event will be held on Thursday, March 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Burlington Central High School, with light refreshments provided.
