The Milton Menace have pushed the series to Game #7.
Through the first two games of the first round match-up against the Burlington Cougars, the Menace found themselves down 2-0. They then found themselves with their backs against the wall down 3-1 after four games. Now, the game will head into sudden death.
Game #6 took place on Tuesday, March 17th at the Central Arena in Burlington. It was the Cougars who jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the first period. They would carry that lead into the second period, and add to it early in the middle frame. That’s when the Menace woke up and came alive.
Gabe Runco started the scoring off, scoring twice to tie the game at the halfway mark. Milton would then get powerplay goals from Dean Deligeorgis and Ashtyn Pacheco. The Menace were up 4-2 heading into the final period.
In the third, Captain Graeme MacAuley would score an empty netter to ease the Menace into a 5-2 victory.
Austin McKillop was in net for Milton. He stopped 22 of 24 shots, giving him a .916% save percentage and the win.
Next up is Game #7. It’s a quick turnaround for the teams as it’s scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18th at the Milton Memorial Arena. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
