A Georgetown man is facing charges after an altercation at a Guelph bar left one person with serious injuries.
Emergency services were called to a business on Woodlawn Road West at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14th. Police say the incident began as a verbal dispute involving three individuals inside the establishment.
Investigators say a 21-year-old man from Mississauga was struck in the face during the altercation and knocked unconscious. He was transported to hospital with serious head and facial injuries, while a second man suffered minor facial injuries.
A 20-year-old Georgetown man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and assault. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
