The Town of Milton is inviting residents and community stakeholders to learn more about and provide feedback on the proposed Agerton Secondary Plan, which will guide development in a new growth area east of Milton’s existing urban boundary.
The Agerton area, located beyond the Sixteen Mile Creek valley, is being planned as a transit-supportive corridor with mixed-use intensification, including higher-density housing and taller buildings. A proposed Major Transit Station is identified near Derry and Trafalgar roads, and the plan will outline policies for housing, retail, parks, schools and road networks to support a complete community.
An open house will be held Thursday, March 5th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Milton Town Hall, followed by a Public Information Centre on the Environmental Assessment process on Monday, March 16th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Council will also hold a Section 26 Special Meeting and Statutory Public Meeting to present the updated land-use concept and gather feedback.
An updated draft of the Agerton Secondary Plan is available for public review, with a final version to be presented to Council for adoption before being submitted to the Province for approval. Residents can learn more, review the draft plan and submit comments here.
