The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapist following an investigation in Milton.
Police say the investigation began after a complaint was received regarding a therapist working at Spectacokids on Bronte Street South. The matter was investigated by the HRPS Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit.
As a result, 25-year-old Muaz Sarfraz of Mississauga was arrested on Tuesday, February 24th. He has been charged with:
- Assault (x6)
- Assault with a Weapon
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police allege the incidents occurred during recent therapy sessions at the Bronte Street South location. Investigators have identified two victims, both children with autism who were alone with the accused at the time, and believe there may be additional victims.
