The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store in Burlington.
On Friday, February 20th, at around 7:50 p.m., four suspects entered Charm Diamond Centres at Mapleview Shopping Centre, located at 900 Maple Avenue. The suspects allegedly used hammers to smash several display cases and steal multiple pieces of jewelry before fleeing the scene.
Investigators believe the suspects left in a waiting black Honda CR-V, possibly driven by a fifth individual.
The suspects inside the store are described by the HRPS as:
- male
- 5’5” to 5’8” in height
- small builds
- wearing dark coloured clothing and face coverings
There were no reported physical injuries to store staff or mall patrons.
