
Two Oakville residents have been arrested by the Toronto Police following a firearm investigation.
On Wednesday, February 18th, investigators executed search warrants on a vehicle and a residence in the Trafalgar Road and Upper Middle Road area of Oakville.
Police allege officers located and seized a loaded Glock handgun equipped with a drum magazine and ammunition, along with a large quantity of cocaine believed to be intended for trafficking.
27-year-old Zari Ashman has been charged with:
- Possess Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence
- Possess a Loaded Regulated Firearm
- Possess a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon or Prohibited Device Knowing No Authority
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I Substance (Cocaine)
27-year-old Brooke Bonazza faces the same charges:
- Possess Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence
- Possess a Loaded Regulated Firearm
- Possess a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon or Prohibited Device Knowing No Authority
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I Substance (Cocaine)
Both accused were scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
