Burn permit applications in Halton Hills are now available online through Community Connect.
It’s a free, secure, and user-friendly system that allows users to share important household and property details with first responders, helping them better prepare in the event of an emergency. As part of the launch, residents can now apply for open-air burn permits directly through the platform, streamlining a process that previously required in-person or email submissions.
In addition to burn permit applications, Community Connect allows users to manage property details and provide critical emergency information in one centralized location. The Fire Department says the platform is designed to improve safety, efficiency, and communication between residents and emergency services.
Residents who prefer not to apply online or who need assistance can still access support through the Halton Hills Fire Department. Applications can be completed by phone by calling 905-877-1133, by email, or in person with staff support by visiting District 3 Headquarters Fire Station at 14007 10 Side Road in Georgetown, Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
