Wilfrid Laurier University is offering new financial support for students planning to attend its Milton campus starting in Fall 2026.
Laurier announced the introduction of a new Milton Admissions Bursary, a one-time $2,000 award designed to help reduce financial barriers for incoming full-time students beginning their studies in September 2026. The bursary will be automatically applied to eligible students’ accounts in December 2026 and deducted from Winter 2027 tuition, with no separate application required.
To qualify, students must accept an offer to a full-time program at Laurier’s Milton campus, meet all admission conditions by the stated deadline, and be Ontario residents who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, protected persons, or refugees. Eligibility also requires demonstrating financial need through a completed OSAP application by August 2026, with funding disbursed by October.
Students must begin their studies in Fall 2026 and remain on the Milton campus to retain eligibility, as deferring admission or transferring campuses within the first year will result in the bursary being forfeited. Those who do not qualify for OSAP for the 2026–27 academic year will also be ineligible.
Laurier says the bursary is part of its broader effort to ease financial stress for students while supporting access to post-secondary education. Milton students considering Laurier are encouraged to review the university’s scholarships and bursaries webpage for full details on available financial supports. Applications for Fall 2026 admission are still open for some programs through OUAC, even after the January 15th deadline.
