100 Women Who Care Milton is getting ready for their first gathering of 2026.
The group gets together to listen to presentations from three local charities. They then votes and awards one charity with a donation from each member. Traditionally, the donation is $100 per member, but has been done on a ‘donate-what-you-can’ method since the pandemic.
In October, they chose Pack-a-Bag as the awarded charity. A record $12,000 was given to the organization that “ensures as many infant, children and youth and their families do not go without the basic clothing necessities and food for Christmas in the Halton Region.” They will attend the upcoming event to share how the funds helped their organization.
On Wednesday, January 14th, 100 Women Who Care Milton will head to Ned Devine’s Irish Pub at 575 Ontario Street South in Milton. The Emerald Room is booked for 5:00 p.m., with the event beginning at 6:30 p.m. It’s expected to run for roughly one hour.
