The Milton Menace are ending 2025 on a high note!
On Friday, December 19th, the Menace travelled to Burlington to take on the Cougars in front of 419 fans at the Central Arena.
Milton started the scoring just over a minute into the game, with Easton Lynds burying his 16th of the year, assisted by Nathan Catalano and Gabe Runco. Burlington would then quickly respond with a pair of goals to take the lead. The Menace would tie it late in the opening frame, thanks to Captain Graeme MacAuley. His 4th goal of the season was assisted by Lynds. It was 2-2 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Ashtyn Pacheco recaptured the lead on the powerplay. His 18th of the year was assisted by MacAuley and the Menace netminder, Carter Froggett. Milton took that 3-2 lead into the second intermission.
The Menace then added an insurance marker in the final frame. Alec Stewart’s 12th goal was assisted by Lynds and Seth Vreugdenhil. That’d be all, as Milton beat Burlington 4-2.
Along with his assist, Froggett stopped 25 of 27 shots for the .925% save percentage and the win.
The final game of the Milton Menace’s historic 2025 calendar came on Sunday, December 21st.
They welcomed the Georgetown Raiders to the Milton Memorial Arena.
It was the recently acquired Wolf Giles who opened the scoring for the Menace. The former Captain of the Niagara Falls Canucks scored his 13th of the season, and 1st with the Menace, with help from Ashtyn Pacheco Captain Graeme MacAuley. Before the end of the opening period, Seth Vreugdenhil added his 4th of the year, assisted by Pacheco and Giles. It was 2-0 Milton after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, while on the powerplay, Dante D’Andrea scored his 5th of the year, assisted by Gabe Runco and Easton Lynds. That was quickly followed up by another powerplay marker for Milton. This time it was the recently acquired Jason Zhou. The Beijing, China-native scored his 4th of the season and 1st with the Menace to make it 4-0 Milton after two periods of play.
Milton was able to hold off any kind of comeback, with Georgetown scoring once, to pull off the 4-1 victory.
Austin McKillop was in net for the Menace. He stopped 22 of 23 shots for the .956% save percentage and the win.
The Menace now have the rest of 2025 off as they rest up and enjoy the holidays. They’ll be back on the ice on Sunday, January 4th when they host the Stouffville Spirit at the Milton Memorial Arena. Game time is listed for 6:00 p.m. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
