A transport truck driver has been charged after police spotted a large buildup of snow and ice on a trailer in Simcoe County.
Nottawasaga OPP say officers stopped the commercial vehicle on Highway 89 shortly after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17th, after noticing a large block of snow and ice on the trailer roof. The driver was charged with:
- Insecure Load – Commercial Motor Vehicle
Police remind motorists that snow and ice falling from vehicles can pose a serious danger to other road users. Drivers are urged to fully clear their vehicles before travelling, noting that road safety starts before the wheels move.
