Enbridge Gas Ontario is helping Bradford West Gwillimbury enhance firefighter training through a contribution to the Safe Community Project Assist program.
The program is run jointly by the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council and Enbridge Gas. It provides funding to volunteer and composite fire departments for training materials. Enbridge Gas says safety is a core value for the company and that supporting emergency training helps firefighters stay prepared.
This year’s $125,000 provincial investment will be shared among 25 fire departments, including Bradford West Gwillimbury, which will use its $5,000 allotment to purchase life-saving training resources. Local officials say the funding strengthens firefighter readiness and supports ongoing education.
