The Milton Menace hit the road last night to take on the Georgetown Raiders at Mold Masters Sportsplex.
It was all Georgetown early on, as the Raiders jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. Milton quickly responded thanks to Matthew Babiy scoring his 11th of the year, assisted by Alex Spadafora and Marco Costante. It was 2-1 Raiders after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, the Menace were able to find their groove. Babiy scored his second of the game (12th of the year), assisted by Ivan Fabjan and Captain Graeme MacAuley. Easton Lynds followed that up shortly after on the powerplay, scoring his 12th, assisted by Alec Stewart and Dante D’Andrea. Nathan Catalano then gave the Menace a two-goal lead with his 5th, assisted by D’Andrea and Tristan Tremble. It was 4-2 Menace through two periods of play.
Milton was then able to hold off any kind of comeback in the final frame, even getting an empty netter from Catalano, assisted by Fabjan and MacAuley. Milton beat Georgetown 5-2.
Carter Froggett was in net for Milton. He stopped 30 of 32 shots for the .937% save percentage and the win.
Next up for the Menace is a return home on Friday, December 5th against the King Rebellion. Game time at the Milton Memorial Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
