Canada Day activities in Milton, 2019
The Halton Agricultural Society’s Canada Day Committee has confirmed it will move ahead with plans to host a 2026 Canada Day celebration at the Milton Fairgrounds.
The catch? Organizers say the event can only succeed with strong support from local volunteers.
Community meetings were held this fall to gauge interest and highlight ongoing challenges in running an event of this size. The Society says dozens of reliable and committed volunteers are needed to help with setup, operations, visitor support, and cleanup to ensure the festivities can go ahead safely and successfully.
Residents interested in contributing to one of Milton’s largest community celebrations are encouraged to reach out to the Halton Agricultural Society’s office to learn more about volunteering opportunities.
Next year’s Canada Day will take place on Wednesday, July 1st.
