Thunder Bay police have arrested a Toronto man in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old Milton resident.
Officers were called to a home on Edward Street North on Tuesday, October 14th at about 4:12 p.m., where they found Quinnel La Rose dead after suspects and witnesses had already left more than a day earlier.
The Major Crime and Forensic Identification units took over the investigation, which led to a second-degree murder charge against 18-year-old Christian Williams-Kazadi. Police say he was already under a weapons prohibition stemming from a May 2023 shooting. Williams-Kazadi was arrested on Friday, November 21st in Toronto with help from Toronto Police and Durham Regional Police guns and gangs units.
He appeared in court over the weekend and was remanded into custody with another court date to come.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Thunder Bay Police or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
