The Town of Milton is inviting residents, businesses, and developers to share feedback on two key funding tools that help pay for growth-related infrastructure and services.
Milton is updating its Development Charges Background Study and by-law, last reviewed in 2021, and preparing a Community Benefits Charges Strategy that could result in a new by-law to generate revenue from higher-density developments.
Development charges fund essential growth projects such as roads, parks, recreation facilities, and libraries, while community benefits charges help cover costs tied to higher-density developments.
A public engagement session will take place on Monday, December 1st, at 10:00 a.m. inside the Council Chambers at Milton’s Town Hall. Staff and consultants will explain proposed updates and collect feedback. Additional opportunities to comment include the Feedback Forum, upcoming engagement sessions, and direct contact with the Development Finance team.
