New Tecumseth Council has approved Mayor Richard Norcross’s 2026 Budget, featuring a 2.84% property tax increase for services and a 1% Capital Levy, adding about $155 per household.
The plan invests in new infrastructure, including the opening of Fire Station #4 and hiring four full-time firefighters, along with road upgrades, traffic safety initiatives, and park enhancements.
A new Town website will also launch to improve access to municipal services and information.
“The annual budget process is one of the most important tools we have to plan for the future,” says Mayor Richard Norcross. “It allowed us to reflect on our services, assess priorities, and make responsible decisions that support both current needs and long-term goals.”
