An Oakville man is among a group arrested following a targeted shooting in Mississauga.
It happened at roughly 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3rd in Mississauga. Peel Regional Police say a white Ford Explorer chased a white 2025 Ford Bronco Sport on Southdown Road, where nine shots were fired into the victims’ vehicle, seriously injuring one person.
18-year-old Emmanuel Daniel of Mississauga was arrested on Tuesday, October 7th and faces multiple charges:
- Attempt Murder
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Selling or Possessing Counterfeit Marks
On Wednesday, October 29th, investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant, resulting in the arrest of two additional individuals.
55-year-old Loreto Perruzza of Mississauga was charged with:
- Obstruct Justice
- Accessory After the Fact to Commit Indictable Offence
34-year-old Leone Francesco of Oakville was charged with:
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Public Mischief – Make False Statement
- Accessory After the Fact to Commit Indictable Offence
Both Perruzza and Francesco were released on undertakings with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
