The Milton Menace saw their game on Friday, October 31st postponed. That game against the Mississauga Chargers will now be played in January.
That didn’t there wasn’t going to be local hockey this past weekend, as the Menace hosted the Newmarket Hurricanes on Sunday, November 2nd at the Milton Memorial Arena.
Ashtyn Pacheco was the story of the game, especially early, as the Menace forward scored a natural hattrick in the first period. His three unanswered goals in a row, the final one being his 11th of the year, gave the Menace a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, the Menace would get some more help from Josh Currie, who scored his 9th of the season. Alex Stewart was credited with one of the assists, as he finished with three helpers on the evening. Newmarket would then rally to score three in a row, keeping a tight 4-3 game after two periods of play.
The Hurricanes then dominated the shot board in the final frame, but Carter Froggett kept the door shut for the Menace. He stopped 39 of 42 shots for the .928% save percentage and the 4-3 win for Milton.
The Menace now host the Collingwood Blues on Friday, November 7th at the Milton Memorial Arena. Game time is listed for 7:30 p.m. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
