Two Conestoga College students from Halton Region have been recognized among this year’s recipients of the Schulich Builders Scholarships for Skilled Trades.
Rayah Camillo of Georgetown and Sophie Carne of Burlington are among ten Conestoga students awarded scholarships in 2025, which support post-secondary students pursuing skilled trades careers.
Camillo is enrolled in the Welding and Fabrication Technician program, while Carne is studying Carpentry and Renovation Technician. Each scholarship, valued at $40,000 for a two-year diploma program and $20,000 for a one-year certificate program, helps students focus on their training by easing financial pressures and encouraging entry into in-demand trades.
