The Halton District School Board (HDSB) is inviting families, students, staff, and community members to take part in the first session of the Director’s Panel Series for the 2025-2026 school year.
This year’s opening session, Celebrating Excellence in Learning, Engagement and Achievement, will take place virtually on Monday, October 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a livestream available here. Registration is not required.
Led by Director of Education Curtis Ennis and Human Rights & Equity Advisor Pardeep Nagra, the Director’s Panel Series highlights themes and issues that are shaping education today. Throughout the year, panelists may include students, parents, guardians, and subject-matter experts who share their perspectives on student success and well-being.
This session will showcase how the HDSB creates vibrant learning environments where students are inspired and supported to achieve their goals. The discussion will explore how schools prioritize strong foundational skills while also offering opportunities for students to develop transferable skills and pursue individual interests.
Joining the panel will be Amy Collard, Chair of the HDSB, Tara Connor, Superintendent of Education, Sumona Roy, System Principal of School Programs, along with students who will share firsthand insights into the learning experience across Halton schools.
Community members are encouraged to take part by submitting a question to the panel in advance.
