Barrie Police quickly arrested two men following a break and enter at a business in the Wellington Plaza early Monday, October 6th.
At roughly 2:45 a.m., officers responded to an alarm and confirmed that two suspects dressed in dark clothing had fled on foot. One male was located near an abandoned car wash, while the second was tracked down by the K9 Unit a short distance away. Police also recovered all stolen property at the scene.
A 20-year-old from Scarborough and a 21-year-old from East York were transported to Barrie Police Headquarters, where detectives continued the investigation. Both suspects were charged with Break and Enter and Disguise with Intent.
The men, arrested within 48 minutes of the alarm call, were later released and are scheduled to appear in Barrieās Ontario Court of Justice on October 29th.
