A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle this week.
On Tuesday, October 7th, at roughly 2:47 p.m., the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) was notified of a pedestrian being involved in a motor vehicle collision in the area of Fairview Street and Brant Street in Burlington. The initial investigation indicated that the 22-year-old was on the northwest corner of the intersection when he was struck by an eastbound pick up truck driven by a 59-year-old man from Burlington. The pedestrian is currently at a trauma centre, while the driver was taken to a local hospital.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
